I am writing to you because we now have less than 90 days before our annual Lenders Showcase and After Glow Reception and before you know it will be here and gone.

This years event is going to be much different than in years past for several reasons. And let me tell you about some of those reasons.

First . We have decided to move the trade show from the Casino for many reasons like,(a) the overall costs were to much to take,(b) the date available to us was not to our liking and (c) we thought that by bringing it to Hartford at the Civic center it would be more central to more of our members to attend. And so far that choice has been a good one because we have already pre-registered 15 attendees from the lower Fairfield County area and two hundred-twenty in total.

This is more than we have in years past and we believe that trend will continue.

Secondly. Everyone should remember that our Showcase is directed solely to our Wholesale Lender and Affiliate Members in order to give them an opportunity to showcase their products and or services to the attendees at the show. It's very important to remember that the people we attract to the showcase are the end users of your products and or services, the Mortgage Broker and Loan Originator in our industry.

We are NOT looking for and DO NOT go after the Bank managers or Assistant managers, we DO NOT go after the local or regional banks like Peoples, Webster or Bank America. We pride ourselves in the fact that we put together the ONLY trade show in Connecticut that is hosted SOLELY by the Mortgage Broker for the BROKER community and their business partners. YOU, the Wholesale Lender and Affiliate members.

Our Showcase is all about YOU our Wholesale Lender and Affiliate member. We try to do everything that we can to put people in front of YOU to the point of not charging any of our attendees if they register early and so far 220 have done just that. We DO NOT offer any type of side event that might take away from the Show and focus everything we do on putting Brokers and Originators in front of you for the four solid hours that we are open. Our intent is NOT to make money off of the attendees but to make sure you have an opportunity to either thank your existing customer or make new ones. We know that this market of ours is very tough to work in and we try to make certain that the people who visit your booth are the people who can make the decision to use your service or product and we do a good job at it.

In years past we have had in excess of 100 exhibitors at the Showcase and close to 1000 attendees and I must say again, our attendees ARE your customers and potential customers, they are NOT your Bank managers or assistant managers. They are the decision makers and they are the individuals that you need to be meeting with in this or any environment.

Please remember that this is the ONLY Mortgage Trade show in Connecticut during 2008 that will have as exhibitors the likes of CHASE, BANCO POPULAR, BISMARK MORTGAGE, NEWELL FUNDING INC, FIRST CONNECTICUT CAPITAL, and M & T BANK to mention a few. They know the importance of supporting those individuals who bring them business and who could bring them business and they demonstrate it by exhibiting at the Showcase.

So, if these Lenders think it important enough to be supporting the Society and if these Lenders think it important enough to be thanking their existing and looking for new customers, shouldn't you be there as well?
