In an effort to keep involved with the legislative process in the State with regard to our industry the following individuals have been asked to serve on the various committees and panels.

Peter Spalthoff-executive director of the CSMB is part of the Governors Task force on Sub Prime Lending.

Mike Daversa-Atlantic National Mortgage-Rich Tracy-Campbell Mortgage-Attorney Anita Steenson and Peter Spalthoff-exec dir of the CSMB are part of the Speaker of The House-Task Force on Broker Education-Peter also serves as the chairman of this committee.
Peter was also asked to serve on Congressman Shay’s “ Mortgage Crisis” panel that was held in both Stamford and Bridgeport on March 1st.

All in all, the CSMB tries to stay active in every way that it can by volunteering to serve on committees and panels that have in anyway at all an impact on the way that the Mortgage Broker does business.

We also have our Lobbyist keeping us up to date on the proposed legislation that comes before the Connecticut legislators as well as our NAMB lobbyists who are continually looking out for the best interest of the Broker.
